Behind the willows you will find
An Eden brimmed in dew
Hidden from the world in mind
But shown just for you
A tree centered in this haven
It’s Beautiful and strong
With flowers red as raven
All seems to belong
Surrounded by a patch of grass
Green as you ever seen
Room for you to glimpse and pass
To remain serene
As time does fade and seasons change
You watch as the tree grows
Whispers in the wind so strange
It speaks as if it knows
And as days come by and then leave
Sinful weeds start to bloom
Deceiving you to believe
Fighting for the room
And as the long, warm months go by
More and more weeds do show
No matter how hard you try
The weeds will still grow
After a while you stop trying
Just sit and let it pass
All the while the tree’s dying
Weeds take up the grass
Now in the heaven you’ve come to
All’s heard are weeps and cries
From the flowers, leaves and you
The tree slowly dies
Now coming true are your worst fears
If you had kept to it
Then your love would have reached ears
You shouldn’t have quit
Faded, withered and broken
All that’s left of the tree
You speak the words unspoken
‘All my life, I will love thee’
